To guarantee the best possible service quality levels to all our client Airlines are specific followed by the Sales & Marketing Office for customer satisfaction.

ALHA AIRPORT has its own internal trainers and training school for the proper use of all the automated machinery (stacker system, roller beds, pallet build up work stations etc) and for the correct usage of all the motor vehicles of the company: 86 electric forklift trucks, 7 diesel forklift trucks (maximum weight 15 tons), 10 electric tractors, 4 diesel tractors, 7 diesel transporters and 5 cars.

ALHA AIRPORT has obtained the Certificate of Quality Control System in accordance with the EN ISO 9002 standard, in relation to the “Handling and warehousing of import and export air freight”. This certification is in the process of being extended to other operational areas.

“P.I.F.”, Frontier Inspection Site

“P.I.F.”, Frontier Inspection Site is where, under European Union authorization, live animals and animal origin products can enter the UE territory.
PIF authorizes the following freights:
LIVE ANIMALS
ANIMAL ORIGIN PRODUCTS: HC - Human Consumption products, NHC - Non Human Consumption
“P.I.F.” equipment:

  • 9 refrigerating rooms (Human Consumption)
  • 2 rooms for veterinary checks
  • Monitored temperature in the whole area (+12° C)
  • Different areas, structures and equipment for NHC and HC products
  • Dedicated staff and forklifts
  • Dedicated ways of access
  • UE authorization for the whole handling and stacking process.

Security services

To guarantee the best security conditions in the working areas under our control, we decided to create our own Security Service: 1 Security Manager, 1 Security Specialist, 6 Local Security on duties.
Specific operational and managerial processes, including: terrorism prevention, shipments’ check and other services “on demand”

  • 72 cc tv cameras (69 steady cameras and 3 dome cameras);
  • 2 x-ray machines (Haimann mod. 145×180). We will soon start using a third x-ray machine (Gilardoni mod. Fep Cargo) for mail checks;
  • Vapor/tracer, informing about the presence of explosive and drugs;
  • Safe – strong room (security level: 5) with double check access system (badge + code), time delete, double authorization needed for opening and closing the door;
  • 3 alarmed areas for VAL and VUN shipments:  anti-theft system with infra-red barriers, tv cc monitored.
  • Check (badge + personal code) of anyone enters or exits the warehouse, including all the members of our staff.

Mail Handling – Poste Italiane

Since February, 2007, “Poste Italiane” and “ALHA AIRPORT” signed an agreement. Since then, Alha Airport handles the whole mail cargo in Milan MXP Airport:

  • The mail center works with our “self made” new IT system;
  • Traceability of the shipments: the whole mail product is marked with microchip (as per European Mail instructions);
  • 100% of the mail products x-ray checked.
  • 41 airlines handled

With the new IT system, ALHA AIRPORT is working together with European Mail with the aim of defining new and better standard of service.
